The kidneys are vital organs responsible for filtering blood, removing waste through urine, and maintaining the balance of fluids and electrolytes in the body. However, certain habits can slowly damage the kidneys and increase the risk of chronic kidney disease. To maintain kidney health, there are several things to avoid.

Excessive salt consumption is one of the main factors that can burden the kidneys. Too much salt can increase blood pressure and worsen kidney conditions in the long term. In addition, consuming too much animal protein, especially red meat, can also increase the workload of the kidneys because it produces more metabolic waste that must be filtered.

Dehydration is also a major risk factor for kidney health. Not drinking enough water can cause kidney stones to form and inhibit the process of removing toxins from the body. In addition, long-term consumption of painkillers such as ibuprofen and naproxen can damage kidney function if not used according to doctor's instructions.

An unhealthy lifestyle, such as lack of physical activity and excessive alcohol consumption, can also contribute to decreased kidney function. Therefore, it is important to maintain a healthy diet, drink enough water, and live an active lifestyle so that the kidneys continue to work optimally and avoid various diseases.
