Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Homecare Medical Personnel in Providing Hospital Patient Care

Homecare Medical Personnel in Providing Hospital Patient Care

Hospital patient care is essential to ensure optimal recovery and patient comfort. However, the limited number of medical personnel in hospitals is often an obstacle to providing adequate care. The solution adopted by several hospitals is to use homecare medical personnel who care for patients in their own homes. This article will evaluate the effectiveness of homecare medical personnel in providing care for hospital patients with limited medical personnel.

The health industry often needs more medical personnel in hospitals. The number of patients requiring treatment continues to increase, while the number of available medical personnel is limited. Under these conditions, homecare medical personnel are an attractive alternative to provide the care hospital patients need. Homecare medical personnel are medical professionals who work outside a hospital setting and provide direct care to patients in their homes.

This study was conducted by collecting data through interviews with hospital patients who received care from homecare medical personnel. Data was also collected through direct observation of homecare medical personnel at work. In addition, data was also collected through interviews with hospital staff related to the use of homecare medical personnel. The collected data was analyzed to evaluate the effectiveness of homecare medical personnel in providing hospital patient care.

The evaluation results show that homecare medical personnel can effectively provide care for hospital patients with limited medical personnel. Patients receiving care from homecare medical personnel report high satisfaction levels and feel comfortable receiving care in their homes. Homecare medical personnel are also said to be able to provide competent care according to patient needs. In addition, the presence of homecare medical personnel helps reduce the workload of medical personnel at the hospital so that they can focus on patients who need care in a hospital environment.

Applying homecare medical personnel in providing care for hospital patients with limited medical personnel has several benefits:

  1. Patients feel more comfortable and avoid the risk of hospital infection.

  2. Homecare medical personnel can provide more personal and in-depth care by focusing on only one patient.

  3. Using homecare medical personnel helps reduce the workload of medical personnel in hospitals to provide better attention to patients who need care in a hospital environment.

In overcoming the limitations of medical personnel in hospitals, homecare medical personnel have proven effective in providing hospital patient care. Homecare medical personnel can provide competent, personal care according to patient needs. In addition, the use of homecare medical personnel also helps reduce the workload of medical personnel in hospitals. Therefore, further integration of homecare medical personnel in the hospital care system can be a sustainable solution in overcoming the limitations of medical personnel.
