To overcome this problem, a more proactive approach is needed. Schools and families play an important role in creating an environment that supports adolescent mental health. Education about mental health must be part of the curriculum, so that adolescents can understand how to recognize signs of mental disorders in themselves and their peers. In addition, access to counseling and psychological support must be easier and more affordable. The use of technology, such as AI-based mental health applications or online communities, can also be a solution to reach more adolescents who need help.
Maintaining adolescent mental health is not only the responsibility of individuals, but also of society as a whole. By opening up more inclusive discussions, reducing the stigma around mental illness, and providing greater access to support, we can help young people better cope with emotional challenges. Adolescence is a crucial time in life, and ensuring their mental wellbeing is an investment in a healthier, happier future.
